I’d be a little worried that offering a competitive test drive on some models and not others might send the opposite message about the vehicles which are actually performing well in their respective segments!
Actually I can easily see this backfiring because people don’t like having their schemas challenged. I’m betting that if most customers go test-drive a Toyota at a Saturn dealership, and like the Saturn better, they will recall that they believe that all car dealers are dishonest scum, and talk themselves out of getting the Saturn, and get the Toyota instead.
